It was a great trip! Our guide Michael was GREAT! Our driver Nathan was the Best driver we ever had! They both made our trip fun and memorable Nathan was always cleaning the windows making sure we could see all the amazing sights and Michael told us great information and stories and was always eager to help us all.

Adrienne was our tour director for the recent: Canyon Lands, Arches and Mesa Verdi tour. This email is to say that she was an outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and detailed director and travel companion. She was able to let her personal excitement and experiences shine through every aspect of our trip. My wife Robin and I will sign up immediately for another tour with her as we enjoyed her style immensely and are so appreciative of her involvement in our Gate One experience. We were able to attend a Pueblo Field day experience where we were treated to visiting and talking with and observing a wide range of native arts, crafts which I believe was an extra she took advantage of one afternoon. She prepared us fully for our experience in communicating and enjoying this memorable visit. She was generous with her personal time, taking the time to get to know Robin and I and what we, in our backgrounds, brought to this experience from our individuals careers. I even had the time to tell her about my career as an American History teacher and the unique challenges of instructing today's students and had an opportunity to reflect on how this tour enhanced my career. She was personally interested in what we had to relate. I say Bravo to this tour and our especially cordial guide. I wanted you to know some specifics beyond any brief reflection of this venture. Our trip was made especially perfect because of Jane. She was so organized and helpful and had a great sense of humor along with a very infectious laugh. She took the time to accommodate everyone's needs and wants and never seemed to be impatient with any request. She thoroughly researched every place we went to and explained the history of each place. We went to excellent places of interest and I truly believe it was because of Jane that the trip was so great. We are new to Gate1 Travel but we intend to keep traveling with your company hopefully for a long long time.

My trip to Hawaii (Oahu, Kona, & Kauai) was fantastic! Our tour guide, Kaleo, was outstanding and took care of us and made sure the trip was smooth and fun. He was always available if we had questions and became a friend we could enjoy throughout the trip. He was very knowledgeable and always had a smile to greet us. Loved his personalized "Treats" for us during the bus rides. The side trip were outstanding and the bus drivers were wonderful. I learned so much about the Islands and their culture and history. The group was warm and friendly and everyone enjoyed themselves. This was my first time to travel alone and I found other ladies that welcomed me in their group and we looked out for each other. I am looking forward to booking another trip with Gate 1.

It was great! It was awesome! Beautiful weather and love looking at the palm trees! Our tour guide was KALEO, he was great! Joe and I enjoyed every place we went, the hotels were very nice too! Our meals that were included were delicious!

After the Maui fire, Gate 1 did a fabulous job of contacting us, giving us our options regarding cancellation of the Maui tour segment and refunding the 3 day Maui portion was quick. Kaleo, our tour guide in HI was exceptional. He had several snack items for us with Hawaiian words for us to learn. He serenaded us with his wonderful singing. He was very detail oriented and gave us all the information we needed and so much history. He was very knowledgeable and a caring and genuine guy. He is a treasure for Gate1. We had a wonderful trip and we will use and recommend Gate 1. The accommodations, food and inter island transfers and bus rides were top notch. Thank you so much for making this a wonderful memory.

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful trip I had. I had the best time. My tour guide Bobby is the one who makes this vacation in the Excellent category. He is very knowledgeable about the areas we are touring. He gives us recommendations on where to eat and what to see on our time on our own. I highly recommend Bobby to anybody who is going on a tour. He keeps the entire bus engaged and laughing. This was the 3rd trip with him and I am looking to going on my next vacation with Gate 1 travel with Bobby as the tour guide. You can't ask for a better person, tour guide for your company. Our trip was great! Everything went as planned. The flights were on schedule and the tour was fabulous. Even the weather cooperated. Barbara, our tour guide and Bill, the bus driver were both outstanding. We couldn't have asked for a better trip. Visiting the national parks, Sedona and Monument Valley was awesome. I would like to further comment on Dani and Amanda, our bus driver. Dani is an outstanding tour guide and person. We were all impressed with her knowledge of the area and her knowledge in general. She has an infectious positive and sunny personality. She and Amanda were good in solving any problems. I can't say enough good things about both. Amanda is an outstanding bus driver. She navigated the twisting, narrow roads expertly and handled the small-town roads really well in the large bus. She was always pleasant and friendly. They made a great team! It was a wonderful experience and trip.

I'm writing to give kudos to our tour coordinator, Adrienne. My wife and I just completed your 7 Day Classic Wyoming & South Dakota Parks tour. It was a wonderful trip and great experience. We were very impressed with Adrienne's exceptional knowledge of the area and the history of the struggles of the native Americans. Her knowledge clearly rivals that of local historians. Her sparkling personality enhanced the bountiful information she provided and her organization kept the tour on track and on schedule. Additionally, her harmonious interaction with our driver, Grace, created an exceptionally pleasant atmosphere. She did Gate 1 proud. This was our first Gate 1 trip, and we are already planning our next Gate 1 adventure.

Our trip was great! Adrienne P. was a fabulous tour guide. She told great stories, knew the history, was very knowledgeable about Yellowstone. She was well organized, and always gave ample time at our stops. I don't know of any issues, so she must have handled anything that came up! Grace, our bus driver was fabulous too. She was a careful driver, always felt safe as a passenger. She was good about making sure we all had water, and there was a bowl of candy available as we entered and left the bus!

The trip was fantastic! Our guide Elias went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and truly maximized our trip so we could see and learn as much as possible. He was also very good at problem-solving so we didn't miss a beat, like when our bus needed repair and another bus was waiting for us at our next stop so we could continue on. I can't say enough good things about him. Our bus driver, Stephanie, was also phenomenal and took very good care of us, always ensuring we got where we needed to go safely, our luggage was accounted for, and we had all the water we needed. I had a great time and will definitely be using Gate 1 again in the future.

I loved our Classic National Parks Tour! The Parks were breathtaking, as expected. But what made the trip outstanding was our tour manager, Elias Klenner. This was our first trip with Gate 1, and we are impressed! Eli was both low-key and completely professional. This is a rare combination, and it was perfect four our group of 41 travelers. He was a always available, always helpful, and always cheerful. We especially appreciated the many videos about the parks we were to visit, shown to us in the comfort of our motorcoach. He gave us a wealth of additional insights into the parks, and into the communities we passed through on our way to, and between, each park. Even the musical CDs he played on occasion were perfect! Gate 1 receives an A on our report card!

We had a nice time and was pleasantly surprised with Detroit and Chicago. I never expected these two cities to be so clean. If I had this trip to do over again, I would have spent at least an extra day in each city.

The trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons was wonderful. Our Tour Manager, Kathryn was the best manager I have ever had on any trip. She always had a little surprise in store for us and they were delightful. Kathryn was very knowledgeable about the area we were traveling through and often had a few insights over and above the basics. Kathryn was a teacher previously and her desire to educate her passengers was quite evident. Our driver was Alesia and she also did a wonderful job. She drove the bus with great care and was always ready to satisfy our needs such as cold water, temperature in the bus or anything else. She kept the bus spotless, kept the windows clean and clear so that photos came out great. I am very satisfied with this Gate 1 tour and will recommend Gate 1 to others.

This was the second Gate 1 trip I have taken and it did not disappoint. Certainly not in your control, but the weather was wonderful. Our tour guide was extremely knowledge about the area, what we would be seeing as well as the history of the area. Extremely attentive of all passengers. It was evident he spent hours working daily after the tour. The driver is who I would give the best credit for her driving skills. She would check to make sure the 2 single passengers were always on the bus. Of course the tour director counted to make sure all were on the bus. The bus was immaculately cleaned every day. Above and beyond the call of duty the windows were cleaned from all dirt and spots. This did not go unnoticed from all aboard the bus, it was greatly appreciated. I would love to have either one of your employees again.

Our trip can be summed up in 2 words. "Amazing and Priceless". Kathryn and Colin went above and beyond for us to have such an extraordinary and safe trip. This was our first trip with Gate 1 but it will not be our last. We have been spreading the good word about Gate 1. Total satisfaction.

This is a great trip! Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Kacie, our tour manager, did a wonderful job. She has eagle eyes when spotting wildlife for you to see. Many opportunities to take fabulous pictures. Felt very relaxed on this trip. We had wonderful people that joined us, a fantastic driver in Hillary, and an excellent tour manager who was very informative about the whole Alaska heritage and area. Highly recommend this trip!

Leslie is the reason this trip was FANTASTIC! She was kind, courteous and strove to meet everyone's needs, answered all questions, and provided an abundance of history and information about all the places we visited. She passed along interesting stories, told us where the best restaurants were, best angles to take photos of Rushmore, Crazy Horse, etc. and alerted us to animal sightings in Yellowstone. I could go on and on, but she is one of the best tour directors I have traveled with and I have toured with several other companies. She was approachable and personable. Put simply, Leslie is a KEEPER!

Our Mt. Rushmore/Yellowstone/Grand Tetons trip was fabulous in every way. Our guide, Jolie, was charming, funny, extremely well-organized, and made each guest feel like a valuable part of the total experience. While we are very well-traveled, we were in absolute awe of the immense beauty of this part of our country. Our driver, Marc, was cautious, warm and very talented, constantly pointing out the amazing wildlife all around us, which we surely would have missed, were it not for his keen vision.

We had a FANTASTIC trip to the U.S. national parks (8 day tour) -- Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Capital Reef, and to Monument Mountain and also Sedona. We were a small group of 13 people from all different parts of the country. We bonded well as a group and had terrific weather. But the most amazing thing of all was the beautiful scenery we saw on the trip! I felt we were able to get a sampling of what beauty there is in these parks. One of the best things about the trip was our tour leader, Lori. I've been on 5 or 6 escorted tours in my life, but I must honestly say that Lori was probably the best tour leader I've encountered. She was fun, knowledgeable, professional, and well organized. She would tell us important information as we traveled along in the bus, mixed in with videos, historical facts, etc. She passed out maps of the area trails we would be coming to and shared information about the trails. In between, there were corny jokes, anecdotal stories, and various commentary. I don't think there was a single person in our group that didn't recognize Lori's ease and professionalism in the tour director job she did! She single-handedly keep the shared information fun and informative! Thank you for this wonderful trip! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the trip!

I have taken multiple escorted trips with several different travel companies. Many with Gate 1. I have never experienced a more loving friendly knowledgeable and dedicated tour director then Dani. She was from Day 1 warm welcoming down to earth caring and a phenomenal at handling multiple people in the most respectful and sometimes difficult situations. My husband and I traveled with our 10 year old grandson on the 11 day pacific Northwest tour on June 11 2023. The moment we entered the room for meet up at the hotel she knew our names before we introduced ourselves. She made us relaxed about her knowledge of the area and our grandchild's picky food choices. She went out of her way to make him feel special and specifically addressed his needs. I paid a high price last year for a family bridges tour with Tauck to make him feel comfortable with other children which we all enjoyed. After he finished this Gate 1 tour the only child with 36 other adults, he told us this was the best tour. She is an asset and a gem for your company. I will take another Gate 1 tour with Dani as our leader as I know it will be more then the places we visit but the feeling of being cared about like a member of my family. Kudos for hiring her and I will continue to sing her praises.

Trip was phenomenal. Was beyond my expectations. My guide , Timothy and bus driver were outstanding. I would normally rate the trip a 10 on a scale of 1-10. But with Timothy and Jaron I have to rate the trip a 15. On a scale of 1-10.

I just returned from my National Parks Vacation (Classic National Parks, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone and Grand Teton) with your company. I was with a group traveling from June 3rd through the 11th, and our tour guide's name was Adrienne. I wanted to take a few minutes to praise how fabulous Adrienne is and what a wonderful adventure she took us on. Adrienne knew so much about the places we visited and, with her knowledge of the American West, National Parks, Wildlife, and Native American Indian history, we were able to get immersed in the beauty and culture of the places we visited. She was well-organized, fun to be with, enthusiastic and engaging. Our vacation would not have been half as exciting if we did not have a tour guide as experienced and as friendly as Adrienne. In only a few days she was more than a tour guide to all of us, she became our friend. I look forward to traveling with Gate 1 in the future!

Mount Rushmore Yellowstone and more. This trip was not good, oh no, it was great! Beyond expectations. You are converting a 50-time Grand Circle traveler to a Gate 1 traveler. I am in!!

Our trip to the Pacific Northwest With Columbia River Gorge was a very enjoyable trip. Everything about it was so well planned. We learned so much listening to our leader, Kathy, who was so knowledgeable and prepared. Kathy also had a wonderful sense of humor which made the trip a lot of fun. The Columbia River Gorge was beautiful to see, as were the Crater Lake National Park and the Redwood National and State Parks and the very interesting tour of San Francisco. We also had a very attentive and skillful bus driver who was excellent at handling the various types of roads we were on. We traveled in a big, comfortable, and beautiful bus. The hotels were all very good and the staff was very helpful. I especially liked the Riverside Inn in Grants Pass, Oregon with its beautiful view of the river. Thank you to Gate 1 for this very nice trip.

I really enjoyed my trip full of beautiful sights, and I THINK, the best tour guide I have ever had. Eli kept us very well informed of our activities by outlining the up coming day the night before on the bus, then repeating facts the next morning. I knew what time to put the bags out daily and what time the bus would leave daily enabling me to set my own wake up time .I knew exactly where the breakfast room was located and where to find the bus each day. Our bus driver, BILL, was terrific. Very helpful in handling the bags, always at the exit of the bus to assist in stepping off the bus, plenty of water and each morning the bus sparkled inside and out with his care. It was obvious that Eli put a lot of time and effort in planning the information and entertainment we received daily while on the bus. We saw videos outlining the canyons and history of their formations. Also listened to stories, music that was big hits during my younger years so we all sang along. Meals provided by Gate 1 were all delicious and Eli gave us our chance to make selections the day before. Lunches on our own in town were easy with the suggestions Eli made before getting off the bus or as we drove thru town. The bus was very comfortable, with the temperature always right, and Eli scheduled bathroom stops just when I naturally realized I need one. So perfect. There was NOT ONE THING that Eli didn't prepare us for or events that I did not enjoy. I have traveled on many trips offered by Gate 1 thru the years and this Canyon tour with Eli at the helm was a CLASS E trip that will be in my memory and shared with my family and friends for the rest of my life. Thank you Gate 1 for hiring Eli as a tour guide.

This was one of the best trips of our lives! Charles "Kaleo" was super fantastic! We loved his passion for his islands home which was contagious. The beauty we experienced with not only the landscape, but the people living there, too. The accommodations were good and loved the hotel on Kaua'i! All Perfect locations! Good quantity of food and loved learning some of the Hawaiian language. On Oahu, we were just a block from the beach & across the street from the park & zoo. While the hotel was experiencing some Operational challenges with their elevators, etc., it was still delightful. Maui & the Big Island we're nice & great locations, as well. Hotel food was good , too. Excursions were great! Just the right amount of time for each with exception of the Aquarium on Maui. Think an additional hour (at least) could have been added to this excursion without any problem because there wasn't enough time to see the fantastic 3-D film on whales & still have time to check out everything else they had to Offer. Our tour manager was one of the best guides we've ever had! We loved Kaleo! His calm demeanor even through a few trying times was dealt with the utmost professionalism, kind & caring manner. He made arrangements for one of "Ohana" members in need of hospitalization, my husband in need of Medical care & went to urgent care. He managed to keep everything g running smoothly, efficiently, and packed a whole lot of fun into every day! Kaleo, we are so grateful to you for Making this a trip of a lifetime!!

This was our first experience with Gate1, we were very impressed. From the accommodations, the food, and sights we were extremely pleased. The most impressive was Skye our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the sights, and information specific to the sight. Especially where to hike, specific trails etc. This was extremely helpful since we're not hikers. Skye kept us informed the entire length of the trip, we couldn't ask for a better guide. We would travel with her on all of our future adventures with Gate1.

Our trip was wonderful, start to finish! We loved our guide, Leslie, bus driver, Josh and all local guides. Each hotel was perfect as were all sites that we visited. Highly, highly recommend this trip!!!

I usually do not write reviews, and since I am from the Michigan, I was not expecting to experience anything really special during 10 day fall foliage trip to New England since Michigan does have a full foliage season. With that said----My trip was AWESOME! I don't know where to start. Our tour guide, Bobby was high energy, fun, engaging, creative, knowledgeable and very accommodating to everyone on our tour. There were 42 people on our tour and he did his best to make sure everyone and everything was taken care of but at the same time we did not feel like he was hovering or bossy. He has great historical knowledge and a lot of very silly jokes. The foliage in the different states along with visiting all the historical landmarks along the way was great. The time riding on the bus was fun, not boring. He made sure everyone was comfortable and had a plan even in our free time. Even after the tour was over, he came with us to lunch at a really nice Italian restaurant on the north end. Emil the bus driver was excellent professional and very courteous. He even dropped some of us off after hours at a restaurant so we would have to walk a long way in the dark in a strange city. The tour was pretty active, and I put in at least 15,000 steps on most days, but It did not ever feel like it. I enjoyed the freedom trail in Boston, the Trinity Church was beautiful, we went to the national monument of the Forefathers, and several other "surprise stops" all while staying on our time schedule and seeing the sites on the scheduled tour. My favorite spots were Mt Washington and everything in Maine. My next vacation was already planned before I went on this trip and now I regret that I did not book it through Gate One, but I do plan on going to Yellowstone with Gate one sometime next year, especially if I can catch Bobby's tour.

It was wonderful! We had a large group (42) but everyone went with the flow & didn't complain about anything, even riding the road to Hana in a heavy downpour. We realized all the rain made the waterfalls that much more beautiful. Esther was a perfect guide, the embodiment of the aloha spirit. A little of aloha must have rubbed off on the group. She was always patient & never too tired to answer our many questions. She did a beautiful song & hula for us at the closing banquet which brought tears to our eyes. Esther is a remarkable woman & Gate 1 should be proud to employ her. Thanks for a wonderful trip to Hawaii. We'll be traveling with Gate 1 again soon!

We enjoyed everything about our trip to Hawaii and it exceeded our expectations. It is definitely a once-in-a- life time experience! Tour manager Esther and bus drivers are excellent; they had incredible knowledge and in-depth insight on Hawaii Islands and its history. We were able to travel at a certain pace, stop and take pictures or just rest as needed. We learned about Hawaiian history, art, culture, food, agriculture, plants, flowers, religion and much more. Esther and bus drivers used Hawaiian words and explained their meaning. All of our transfers between airports, cities, hotels and tours were well planned and we felt very well taken care of. Hotel accommodations and food on each island were great. Esther and drivers were friendly, helpful, and considerate and took very good care of us. We were very happy with our enthusiastic tour guide and drives - they went above and beyond to make our trip special; they were great and spoke excellent English. Time and money well spent!

Our tour was fabulous. Our tour Manager Timothy was great and had a lot of attention to details. He also stop in some bonus places that were not in the schedule, provided educational material like videos, music for us to learn about the culture of the indians, cowboys, etc. He really showed that he cared for us to be able to enjoy a great tour. be loves his job, we can tell. All the hotels were great, specially the Little America. They gave us a special rate for those of us that had to deal with the hurricane in Florida and stayed an extra night or two. The hotel provided extra breakfast tickets, and the personnel were outstanding. I would stay in that hotel anytime. The driver Mike was also excellent and we felt safe with his driving skills. Also a very nice person. As always Gate 1 scored a 10 out of 10 on this tour.

Greetings, It was a pleasure to see this part of the country. Our driver, John and Tour Leader, Andrew, were great, along with the frequent stops to photograph the natural wonders! I would only wish that we had had an extra day for the charming town of Jackson Hole.

The trip to Hawaii was wonderful. The itinerary really gave us the opportunity to see and learn about Hawaii with its colorful flowers everywhere, waterfalls, mountains, and volcanoes. The hotels were nice and comfortable. The included meals were great (other than a cold boxed breakfast). Everything went smoothly including bus pickups, admissions to parks and sites, and flying to the two islands. Esther, our tour leader, was well organized and the bus drivers/tour guides were very knowledgeable about Hawaii and what we were seeing. We especially liked visiting Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri and Volcanoes National Park. The Luau was nice too, and just a short walk from our hotel. Thank you for putting together this amazing trip.

I have been on 5 Gate One Trips. The tour manager for this southwest parks tour, Garrett, was the best I have ever had. He provided us with so much information, facts, and history of the areas we were visiting. He showed us relevant videos, maps, and pictures. When at the national parks, he didn't just point out the trail to take.....he led us on the entire trail and pointed out things for us to see. He was concerned about our comfort and health during 100 degree days, and altered schedules and stops to accommodate the heat. I hope I can travel with Garrett on another trip.

The trip was awesome! Beautiful scenery, great weather, clean air, and no humidity (or mosquitoes). What really made the trip special was our tour guide, Elias and the bus driver Steve. They kept us all well informed and entertained. Would love to go on another trip with those guys again.

I want to write a personalized recommendation about Dani, our tour guide for the recent Michigan-Detroit-Mackinac Island- Chicago trip. Dani was outstanding and very detail-oriented. We experienced the culture of each place we visited through the food, the extra videos she provided about Mackinac Island, and the recommendations she gave and helpful tips about time use while on our own at each location. I cannot praise her enough for her astute leadership. I'm signing up for two more GATE1 trips for next year!

We recently returned from Alaska's Natural Beauty Discovery Tour. We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our vacation. From the time they picked us up at the airport until we finished our tour everyone was professional and courteous. Our tour guide, Liz, was wonderful. Her knowledge of the area was superb. She was always concerned about the safety of the group and went out of her way to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. She even organized optional hikes on our free time and went with us to ensure our safety. When our plane ride was canceled due to inclement weather, she organized a glacier walk to fill the void. We really enjoyed that part of the trip the most. I hope you will let her know how much we appreciate all she did for us. We would also like to complement our driver, Steve. Not only did he keep us safe on some pretty difficult roads but he always helped us on and off the bus to ensure our safety. He also lives in Alaska and had a lot of incite to all the areas we visited. He and Liz work so well as a team that they really enhanced our trip. We have been on 10 Gate 1 trips but this combination of tour guide and driver were the best we have ever had. We would really appreciate it if you could let them know how much they were appreciated. They did an awesome Job!!!

My wife and I just returned from our trip to see some of the best US national parks. Our guide was Kerry with Mike the driver. What an exceptional trip! Kerry provided so much valuable information, I started to think that he lived in the parks. He led us to so many beautiful sites that I did not know existed. Now when I see a national park, I will have such fond memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Trip to Mt. Rushmore to Salt Lake City was FANTASTIC! Tim is one of the best guides I have ever had; I have been traveling with Gate 1 over 25 times and Tim ranks way up high mainly because he is very organized and he provides us with a lot of great information and keeps us entertained with DVDs that is relevant to our trip during the long drive from one state to another. Excellent job Tim!
